10 euro gold micro coin Fountains of Italy Series - Fountain of the Four Rivers, Rome

The Series returns to Rome and pays homage, with this precious gold coin, to the baroque masterpiece of the Fountain of the Four Rivers in Piazza Navona. The details of the sculptures, personification of the Danube, Ganges, Nile and Rio de la Plata, blend with the central obelisk in a powerful representation of the majesty of nature and the timeless art of Gian Lorenzo Bernini.

Obverse: In the centre a detail of the fountain with the sculptures of the Danube on the left and the Ganges on the right, separated by the obelisk. Around, the inscription “REPUBBLICA ITALIANA” is divided by a detail of the geometric motif that adorns the edge of the external basin. In exergue, the signature of the designer “U.PERNAZZA”.

Reverse: in the centre is the detail of two of the four rivers, on the left the statue of the Nile and on the right the statue of the Rio de la Plata, separated by the obelisk. Arch-shaped, at the top, the inscription “FONTANA DEI QUATTRO FIUMI” separated by a dot from the inscription “ROMA”. At the bottom in the centre, the coin’s value “10 EURO”, on the left the year of issue “2025”, on the right “R” identifying the Mint of Rome.
