The iconic 20 lire, historic symbol of Italian virtues and roots, comes back to life in this gold re-edition. As in the original 20 Lire, first put into circulation starting from 1957, the coin features an oak branch and a female profile crowned with ears of wheat, allegorical symbols of Italy and its economic history.
Obverse: Representation of the obverse of the 20 Lire coin; Italy depicted with a profile of a woman’s face crowned with ears of wheat. Arch-shaped, the inscription “REPUBBLICA ITALIANA”. At the bottom, the signature of the designer “V. DE SETA”. Around, decorative dot pattern.
