Obverse: a perspective view from below depicts a detail of the façade of the Basilica of Santa Croce, an emblem of Baroque art in Lecce, and its rose window. Arch-shaped at the top the inscription "REPUBBLICA ITALIANA". At the bottom "2026", year of the coin’s issue.
Reverse: in the lower foreground the Roman amphitheatre of Lecce, complemented by an ellipse containing, at the top, the coin’s value "5 euro". On the right the Column of Sant'Oronzo with a portion of a sundial, a function performed by the statue of the saint atop the column. Arch-shaped in the upper left "LECCE". At the bottom "R", identifying the Mint of Rome, and the designer's signature, "M. Ciucci."
