Obverse: at the centre, profile of Italia Turrita with a star. Arch-shaped, the inscription "REPUBBLICA ITALIANA" and twenty dot-marked elements, representing Italy’s twenty regions. At the bottom, towards the left, "R", identifying the Mint of Rome. At the bottom is the signature of the designer of the obverse, "M. BONIFACIO."
Reverse: at the centre, profile of Lady Liberty. Arch-shaped, thirteen stars, representing the thirteen original colonies. At the bottom "1776", the year in which the thirteen colonies, having gained independence, created the United States of America, the face value "50 EURO", and "2026", the year of issue of the coin. Also at the bottom "ESD", signature of the designer of the reverse.
