A tribute to the razor-sharp pencil of Benito Jacovitti, one of the most revolutionary and influential comics artists of the late 20th century. His iconic characters, such as the red devil Pop Corn, the clumsy gangster Jak Mandolino, and the hilarious gunslinger Cocco Bill, come to life on vibrant and colourful coins. A pop galaxy that captures the ironic and surreal style of the irreverent and visionary “Jac”.
Obverse: Cocco Bill, hilarious gunslinger and defender of the law, one of Jacovitti's best known and loved characters, depicted in his typical western landscape with some singular characters who populate the cartoonist's parodistic cartoons. A round, “REPUBBLICA ITALIANA”; in the exergue, the inscription “COCCO BILL”. Coin with coloured elements.
Reverse: The pseudonym “JACOVITTI” created in the cartoonist's original style in which the “J” is surmounted by one of his eccentric characters with an ironic expression. Above, "R", identifying the Mint of Rome; on the right, “2024”, year of the coin’s issue; on the left, the value “5 EURO”; in exergue, the name of the designer “MOMONI”. Coin with coloured elements.
